Schneider Electric’s fact-based white papers have proved to be a popular feature of the company’s online content, with millions of downloads to date. Now white paper access has gone mobile with native mobile apps for the iOS (e.g., iPhone, iPad) and Android device platforms.
To get the full details on how to download and use the mobile app version, check out White Paper 1000, “Schneider Electric White Paper App: Download Instructions and FAQs. Basically, obtaining the app is as easy as going to the appropriate app store, searching for “Schneider Electric White Papers,” clicking the “free” box (free is good), and following any prompts from there.
While Web-based access to white papers remains a main stay of Schneider Electric’s Web content, downloading a native app gives mobile device users a user interface optimized for the device, convenient offline access to content, and keeps the app up to date with new white paper content.
It’s also a way to match the needs of today’s market, where recent research shows a growing segment of the population is using mobile devices as their primary means of accessing online content.
The aim is to make the app available to a broad audience. Initially, it will be available on any iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad running OS 5 or later, and on Android devices running Android 2 (Gingerbread), 3 (Honeycomb), and 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
